The children in Early Start made some wonderful colourful creations in their class recently.

This was an exciting week for Ms. O’Leary’s class as they had their first visit from our wonderful new Roots of Empathy family, the Laffens. Huge thank you to Rebecca, baby Lainey and big sister Libby for agreeing to take part in the programme. We hope you enjoy it! Ms. Wiley’s class were busy baking yummy Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Muffins this week.

The boys and girls from 1st and 2nd Class were busy over the last few days for Maths Week. Parents came in for Maths Games in the classrooms and Indoor and Outdoor Maths Trails. Thanks to all who came in.

The boys and girls in Ms. McIntyre’s class and Paul’s class were busy practicing and learning how to cycle today at the Cycling Inclusion Centre of Excellence in Collinstown. Thanks to Lucy and Helan for organising it.

Senior Infants had lots of fun for Maths week today. They were busy with peg boards, jigsaws and playing Maths games on the iPads.

The boys and girls in second class have decorated the corridors with lovely art. Ms. O’Leary’s class made portraits inspired by Pablo Picasso. Ms. McIntyre’s class have been learning all about space and made a lovely display at the front door.

We had a great start to Maths Week in Junior Infants this morning when parents and grandparents came in to take part in lots of different Maths Activities with the boys and girls.

There has been lots of learning happening in Senior Infants over the last few weeks. Ms. Whiriskey’s class read The Pig in the Pond and painted their pigs. Ms. Hoare’s class did some leaf rubbings and created some lovely Autumn Trees.

The boys and girls in First Class have some lovely displays outside their classrooms. Ms. Cassidy and Ms. Healy’s class made lovely self-portraits. Ms Anderson’s class talked about how to be a good friend. Ms. Hickey’s class designed some cupcakes.

The children in the Butterfly Suite have been busy at work. Marie’s class were learning all about the colour yellow and red. Hannah’s class painted ‘This is Me’ pictures. Kate’s class made lovely self-portraits and designed their names. Eimear’s class did some great painting. Paul’s class also made their self-portraits using fabric and fibre.

Junior Infants were doing lots of great work in September. Ms. McMennimen’s Class were talking all about school and they drew different pictures of what they see in school. Ms. Kenny’s class read about Elmer and made some finger print art. Ms. Wiley’s class read The Owl Babies and made a lovely Owl Baby tree.
